The Evaluation Process

"The Brain Map"

Specialists at The Neurodevelopmental Learning Institute provide a comprehensive approach to improving and enhancing brain functions.

To begin this process we administer a complete Neurodevelopmental Assessment with QEEG measures to identify the underlying issues which may be causing or contributing to brain dysfunctions. Then, we determine which programs are necessary to remediate the areas which have been identified on the brain map in the comprehensive testing. Through the testing, we can determine how an individual performs across a broad spectrum of abilities with regards to the following functional brain areas:

Attention and Executive Functions

Sensorimotor Systems

Auditory Processing

Visual-Spatial Processing

Language Processing

Language Expression

Vestibular Processing

Activation and Regulation Systems

This Neurodevelopmental model of testing combines the dynamics of QEEG-Brain mapping/Neuroimaging, Evoked Response of Potentials, and other Cognitive and
Developmental measures. The QEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram) is a safe, noninvasive, neuroimaging technique which provides us with information about brain function.

The purpose of this testing is to localize the core areas of neurological function which are critically important to higher level performance-related skills such as social abilities, communication and language abilities, and academic abilities. QEEG mapping combined with our comprehensive neurodevelopmental testing provides the most comprehensive and in-depth information about each and every client.
